Outline permission was granted for the airfield in 2023 to deliver 1,500 homes including 450 affordable homes, a 60 bed care home, a new primary school and a new local centre.

The plans are a culmination of over a decade of work by the local community, led by the Ford Community Land Trust, leading to the site being allocated in the Ford Neighbourhood Plan and the Arun District Council Local Plan.

Abri and Vistry Group acquired the site in 2024 and is delighted to get the chance to deliver the vision set out in the masterplan for The Landings.
